Once again this year, Fieracavalli, the most anticipated event in the equestrian world, opens its doors to over 35 breeding associations to celebrate the timeless beauty and boundaries of the horse.
The 126th edition, scheduled from November 7 to 10 at Veronafiere, will see, for the eighteenth consecutive year, the participation of the Associazione Cavalieri e Allevatori del Cavallo Tolfetano di Cottanello, which has been dedicated for decades to the protection and promotion of the Tolfetano breed. The Tolfetano horse, originating from Central Italy (particularly the mountainous areas of Tolfa between the provinces of Rome and Viterbo), is the perfect symbol of an ancient tradition closely tied to the figure of the Maremma cowboys (butteri).
Thanks to the association, the public will have the opportunity to witness a historical and artistic reenactment of the ancient tradition of the butteri in the covered Area A of Fieracavalli.
The stars this year—alongside 25 purebred Tolfetano specimens—will be the young members of the group: Emma and Noemi, aged 18 and 17, respectively, along with the young Azzurra and Rachele, both 14, and Tommaso, a newcomer at just 7 years old, who will be the true mascot and good luck charm of the group. The performance will pay tribute to the late Mauro Perni, one of the founders of the Tolfetano breed and a friend of Fieracavalli, marking six years since his passing.
This is just one of the must-see events where tradition, spectacle, and culture unite to celebrate the horse. Only at #Fieracavalli2024!
