Great success for the 124th edition of Fieracavalli, which closes today with 40% more visitors than in 2021.
Over four days (3-6 November), 140 thousand admissions were reached, with arrivals from 57 nations. For the exhibition, this is a return to the traditional format, after the 2021 version on two weekends, with quota entries for the pandemic, which had registered 100 thousand visitors. Opening this year’s fair was the Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, Francesco Lollobrigida. Also visiting was the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Lorenzo Fontana.
Two hundred events enlivened the 12 halls of the exhibition, including top-level sports competitions such as the only Italian leg of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup, morphological competitions, western disciplines, shows and educational activities. Fieracavalli saw numerous initiatives on the entertainment front for the whole family, with performances in the outdoor areas, the evening Golden Gala, and evening openings with regional food-truck offerings.
The breeding sector is always the absolute protagonist thanks to 2,400 horses of 60 international breeds that showcased Italian and foreign biodiversity, with the help of 35 associations. The public also found the best in riding equipment and the best offers for saddle tourism, presented by 700 companies from 25 nations. The next edition of Fieracavalli is scheduled from 2 to 5 November 2023.
“Fieracavalli,” comments Federico Bricolo, President of VeronaFiere, “continues a tradition of success that began 124 years ago and which sees VeronaFiere committed together with the Ministry of Agriculture, ICE-Agenzia, Fise, FEI, AIA, breeders’ associations, companies and sponsors to promoting the development of a sector of our “green” economy that accounts for more than 3 billion euros on our GDP and employs more than 50 thousand people.
