Emanuele Gaudiano is the second best Italian rider in the FEI ranking. He is 39th overall.
38 years old, from Matera, Emanuele rides for the sport section of the Carabinieri.
He first competed in Jumping Verona in 2006 and this year he will celebrate his 17th participation, 14th in a row, at the CSI5*-W that is the only Italian leg of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ 2024-2025.
After living in Germany for 18 years, Emanuele made his comeback in Italy, setting up his base near Brescia where he took over the stable that once belonged to Stefano Cesaretto, Giulia Martinengo Marquet’s husband.
What is the report of your first ‘full time year’ in Italy? You have already scored 47 victories up till now…
«I have to admit I’ve got good report for this year. My horses have confirmed that they are in good condition, just like last year. I’ve also got some talented, good young horses. Especially Diasandro Blue. So I’m quite happy! I’ve also got some talented good young horses. Especially Diasandro Blue. Therefore I’m pretty satisfied!».
Chalou is just back, Crack Balou recently had some little problems. What are your expectations about Jumping Verona this year? How did you select your three horses Chalou’s Love Ps, Nikolaj de Music and Vasco 118?
«This will be my second indoor show this season and I hope my horses are ready for such a date. We will try our best».
How do you feel about the only Italian stage of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ 2024-2025? You succeeded in topping a leg of the Fei Longines series six times. Only Juan Carlos Garcia managed to do better with 7. But you never managed to hit the top in the Grand Prix. Your best placing is a 4th place in 2019 aboard Chalou.
«The level of the riders in Verona is always very high. Everyone wants to do well and it becomes a very challenging competition. In the Grand Prix I’ll try my best as usual. But I’ll also be happy with a good placing».
While waiting for ‘Daddy Gaudiano’ to take the field, his daughter Elisa – 11 years old – distinguished herself in the first session of the GP 126×126 cat. Silver presented by Signorvino. The young Gaudiano – after collecting 25 victories in the year – took second place today on Mr X Vdl.
