The first final of the GP 126×126 Fieracavalli, the Bronze Final presented by Goldspan (Special Mixed Category; height 1.15 m), was won by Maria Cristina Giorgi riding Ardisia, a 10-year-old bay Italian Saddle Horse bred by Azienda Agricola La Fittarezza, owned by Guia Abbrescia. Third to enter the arena in the decisive round in Hall 8, she completed a clear round in 29.10 seconds, leaving Emanuele Grimaldi (29.97 seconds on Gerardo E) behind. In the five-rider final, Chloe Ballotin, with 3 time penalties on Coconut Groove Z scored third place.
Maria Cristina Giorgi, 19-year-old from Lombardy, has recently started her university studies to become an engineer. She started her riding career at the Centro Ippico delle Schiave in Gavardo and currently trains at Al.Cle. in Manerbio, also in the Brescia province.
«This victory gave me an incredible emotion, especially after a somewhat difficult year. It feels like a priceless gift, definitely a special one, made possible by this amazing mare that has been with me for the past two years,» Giorgi shared.
