The 126×126 Fieracavalli, the Silver presented by Sergio Grasso (cat. mixed special; h 1.25), was won by the very young Eva Vittoria Lasagni, 13 years old, who attends secondary school in her home town of Reggio Emilia.
Riding Kadesther, a 9-year-old KWPN, she rode two clear rounds, the second in 35.53 seconds, which gave her the victory after the decisive barrage. Joemi Castellani was the other rider with a double clear (38″99, on Kromestar van’t Paradijs). Third place went to Ginevra Saluzzo Madaferri (on Helsinki Sereld’hel), the best among the five finalists with 4 faults.
«I’ve not been that accurate in the first round: I didn’t put the right distances, but I did better in the barrage. I am happy with the way I handled the competition», was Eva’s technical comment before speaking about her still very young career. «I started with horses as a child at CERE, I grew up there and learnt a lot. In order to progress in competition, I moved to San Lazzaro di Savena with Mirco Casadei, and since September 2023 I have been riding Kadesther, who had previously competed at 4* level with Giacomo Casadei. She is a fantastic mare with whom I won a lot before Verona».
