Emanuele Gaudiano and Bruno Chimirri Win the Two Races of the Italian Champions Tour Master
The 2023 season of the Italian Champions Tour – the national team show jumping circuit sponsored by Fieracavalli in collaboration with the Sicilian Region – officially concluded this weekend with the Italian Champions Tour Master: two individual races with a height of 145cm.
It was an intense weekend, fought on the edge of seconds, as riders competed to claim the top spot.
On Friday, the 24th, Emanuele Gaudiano riding Vasco 118 – with a clear round in 64.52 seconds – secured the first position, closely followed, only 41 hundredths of a second behind, by Bruno Chimirri with Samara in second. The third position went to Roberto Previtali riding Come on Semilly.
On Sunday, the 26th, it was the rider from Catanzaro, Bruno Chimirri, on the gray Samara, who triumphed – with zero penalties and a time of 39.60 seconds – surpassing the excellent performance of Roberto Previtali on Come On Semilly. The third position was claimed by Catania’s Giuseppe Carrabotta on Hangover (clear in 46.57 seconds).
The green obstacle course of Palermo’s “La Favorita” – the competition ground for the prestigious “Coppa degli Assi” – was the stage for the final event of the Italian Champions Tour year: a national circuit designed and built to bring the magic of great horsemanship to professionals and enthusiasts alike, with the goal of putting teamwork back at the forefront of this sport.
Now, all that remains is to await 2024 when new teams will be ready to challenge each other, stage after stage, to accumulate the highest possible number of points and claim the cup in the fourth edition of the Italian Champions Tour.
