This morning in Milan, as part of the presentation of the 126th Fieracavalli, the 23rd edition of Jumping Verona scheduled from Thursday, Nov. 7, to Sunday, Nov. 10, was also illustrated.
Doing the honors were Federico Bricolo, Adolfo Rebughini and Armando Di Ruzza, respectively president, general manager and B2C Area manager of Veronafiere while, among others, introducing the sports program of the important Verona event were Riccardo Boricchi, show director of Jumping Verona and Alvaro Casati, deputy vice president of the Italian Equestrian Sports Federation.
“We are ready to host this new leg of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™,” said Boricchi, “ ensuring every aspect necessary for the perfect organization of competitions of the highest technical level. The registrations are closing but those already received allow us to qualify the parterre of riders as of great depth. Suffice it to say that four of the Top 10 in the Fei rankingwill in fact take the field : the Swiss Steve Guerdat ( No. 2), reigning European champion, Britain’s Ben Maher (No. 3), Austria’s Max Kühner ( No. 7) and France’s Simon Delestre ( No. 9). Maher won the Verona Grand Prix in 2023 riding Dallas Vegas Batilly, a horse with which he strongly contributed to Great Britain’s team Olympic gold at the Paris Games. In Hall 8, the CSI5*W competitions that are the flagship of the program will be joined by the now traditional ones such as GP Fieracavalli 126×126 and the final event of the Italian Champions Tour.”
“Beyond ensuring the conduct of the competitions with the highest technical and organizational standards,” added Boricchi , “we are as always committed to ensuring the utmost attention to the welfare of the horse athletes who are engaged in the Jumping Verona competitions. What is new this year is that attention will be implemented to the intense work of the grooms, who are a pulsating category for the success of every event, close at 360 degrees to these beautiful athletes that are horses. Already last year a bar inside the stables was made available to them, with free drinks: this year the space has been improved and will allow them to further optimize their work breaks over the course of always intense days. Another novelty ,” Boricchi concluded, ” is the one that concerns the setting up, in the upper part of the hospitality area in the grandstand, of five skyboxes, that is, real lounges, where sponsors and their guests will be allowed, yes, to eat and follow the races, but also to entertain and develop public relations in a context of further comfort. A solution that is already widespread in other sports venues, which moreover gives greater visibility to the sponsors themselves and grants better opportunities in the entertainment of their guests.”
