Adrenaline, competition, suspense, but also music, entertainment, and shows. These are the ingredients for Crazy Horse Day by Handtmann, the exciting new addition to the 126th edition of Fieracavalli. Today, the Pala Jumping Verona at Pavilion 8 was transformed in seconds from a competition field into a stage, allowing the audience not only to enjoy the numerous competitions but also to have fun with the greatest hits from artists Wayne, Nesli, Sarah Toscano, and Dile.
The day began with the Bronze and Silver categories of the 126th Gran Premio Fieracavalli, which, at 11:00, made way for Wayne’s performance. The Roman artist, former member of the Dark Polo Gang, surprised the audience by suddenly performing “Cambiare Adesso,” a song by the trap trio that talks about staying true to oneself despite external pressures and betrayals.
“I am really happy to perform in such a prestigious setting, surrounded by competitions and the excellence of the equestrian world, offering a moment of entertainment and fun for the public,” said Wayne. “Walking around the fair’s pavilions, I was deeply impressed by the quantity and variety of horses present. It’s an experience that tells a story of passion and mutual respect, which can be felt in every corner of the event.”
At 12:00, the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ officially kicked off with Prize #1 by SITIP: an intense and tight competition fought down to the very last second.
Afterward, it was Nesli – an Italian singer-songwriter, rapper, and music producer – who moved the crowd with his deep voice, performing his hits “Andrà tutto bene” and “La Fine.”
“When I was offered the opportunity to bring my music to the fair, I accepted with enthusiasm. I’ve always admired the equestrian world, thanks to a friend who manages a stable and introduced me to the extraordinary beauty and strength of horses. This connection was strengthened when I had the chance to film a video and take photos on horseback. It was an intense moment that turned simple curiosity into a true passion,” Nesli said excitedly.
Prize #2 by BANCA PASSADORE preceded Sarah Toscano’s performance, the winner of the 2023 edition of the talent show “Amici.” At 15:55, the young singer from Vigevano brought joy and lightness, making the whole pavilion dance to the tunes of “Sexy Magica” – an original song released during the Maria De Filippi program – and “Tacchi (fra le dita),” one of the singles from her first self-titled EP, Sarah.
“This is not my first time visiting Fieracavalli. With a sister who’s an equestrian, it has always been natural for my family and me to visit here year after year,” Sarah said. “Horses are extraordinary creatures: just observing them from afar, you can immediately perceive their strength and beauty.”
The most important competition of the day, Prize #3 presented by EQUIPE, concluded at 18:20 when Dile – a young singer-songwriter from Abruzzo who has garnered over 30 million streams online – performed in Fieracavalli’s Ring of Honor with his song “Carnevale.” The track quickly went viral on TikTok (used in 6,000 videos), entering not only the Top 50 of the weekly chart of the most used songs on the app but also Spotify’s Viral 50, which collects the most viral songs of the moment.
“Participating in Fieracavalli was a unique emotion. On one hand, I discovered a fascinating world made of professionals and enthusiasts who live the equestrian world with dedication; on the other, I had the opportunity to perform in front of a new audience, which welcomed me with warmth and enthusiasm,” Dile said. “My first experience on horseback was in my childhood, and although I was a little scared of the height, I still remember the wonder of that moment. Today, I can confirm that ‘first times’ bring special emotions that stay in your heart.”
