A handshake, during the FEI European Show Jumping Championships in Milan, between Sabrina Ibáñez, FEI General Secretary, Marco Di Paola, FISE President, and Federico Bricolo, President of Veronafiere. The meeting on 2 September during the Olympic qualifying events sealed the renewal of the partnership for four more years, whereby Fieracavalli is confirmed as the exclusive stage for the only Italian leg of the Longines FEI Show Jumping Word CupTM .
“This continues a successful path with FEI and FISE that has seen us collaborate for more for 20 years in the global promotion of the equestrian sector. We are all well aware that the sporting soul of horses is a fundamental driving force behind the development of the entire sector,” said Federico Bricolo, President of Veronafiere. “A shared purpose that has seen us write together important pages in the history of show jumping during many editions of Fieracavalli.”
The renewal of the agreement with FEI further strengthens the central role of Verona in the international panorama of equestrian sports. For this reason, Veronafiere is also committed to welcoming riders, horses and fans of the Longines FEI Show Jumping Word CupTM to the next edition of Fieracavalli by continuing to invest in infrastructure solutions for animal welfare and the safety of riders.
“The Italian Equestrian Sports Federation,” said Marco Di Paola, President of FISE, “is delighted with the FEI’s decision to confirm Verona as the Italian venue for the Longines FEI Show Jumping World Cup TM through to 2027. The impressive expertise and undisputed skill demonstrated by Veronafiere in more than 20 years of work have been rewarded once again. We will stand alongside Veronafiere in this long-term project which, with Jumping Verona and Fieracavalli, is a major landmark for our world – not only for Italy but also on an international scale.”
The appointment with top-flight international sport at Fieracavalli is scheduled 9-12 November 2023.
