THE ART COLLECTION OF FIERACAVALLI’S ADVERTISING CAMPAIGNS SIGNED BY FEDERICA CRESTANI

SYMBOL OF THE COMPETITION FIELD, THE EARTH IDENTIFIES THE SPORTING DIMENSION OF FIERACAVALLI

In the art work that represents Longines FEI World Cup – Jumping Verona, the individuality of the Ego is celebrated, which puts us in competition with others and with ourselves. But this is an individuality made up of the Binomial, by two individuals who are the same Soul and Substance.

In the Earth, the emblem of the competition field, that precise moment is exalted in which the challenge represents the only dimension of existence. Diagonal line between the Knight’s arm and the horse’s head, it is an energy that binds them indissolubly. The Knight symbolically represented only in the limbs indicates the direction. And the horse itself trusts and craves to be led. “In the perfect jump, the Knight does not override his horse, but leads it by lighting the spark needed to win in both of them. This is the only way to create that symbiotic combination between Soul and Substance.”

In Sicily, one of the most widespread cults linked to the fertility of the earth is that of Demeter and Kore to whom the island has been given as a wedding gift from Zeus. Kore is abducted by Hades, the god of the dead, in a clearing at the foot of the mountain on which the city of Enna stands.

As Hades’ rival, Elios revealed to the goddess that her daughter had been abducted by the death god, and that Zeus had decided to marry her. The wrathful goddess withered every plant and caused a terrible drought. Zeus attempted to persuade the goddess to take her place again, but she replied that she would not do so until she Kore was forced to live in the underworld. Zeus asked Hades to return the young girl and Kore was then returned to her mother, with the condition that a third of the year she would have to spend with Hades in the realm of the dead. The return of Kore to earth put an end to the drought, the wheat began to sprout again.
