Enea Ferroni: love for horses that knows no obstacles

10 November 2019

Enea Ferroni - a rider suffering from tetraplegia since birth - turned in an extraordinary reining performance at Fieracavalli 2019.

The extraordinary determination that Enea Ferroni demonstrates every day bears witness to how life’s difficulties and obstacles can be overcome through passion and dedication.

A sufferer of tetraplegia since birth, he began to take a totally independent interest in the equestrian world and then convinced his family of the solid basis underlying his motivation. This passion initially saw the arrival at his home of donkey Jack, then horse Apache, donated to him by Rossano Ranch; he then ensured that his home was completely redesigned and revolutionized so that he could be in constant contact with his animals.

Enea performed at Fieracavalli 2019 in a demonstration of reining, the queen of western disciplines. The young athlete entered the competition ring in the saddle and the audience of Fieracavalli had the chance to witness an immense victory based on hard work, determination and love for the fantastic animals that are horses.

Enea is inspired by a noble cause in everything he does: the will to share his story so that others suffering from his pathology become aware of the effective possibility of overcoming obstacles and thereby demonstrate that living a life by dedicating ourselves to our passions is a truly feasible prospect.

His projects for the future include a degree in Zootechnical Sciences of Animal Reproduction and research to develop a new saddle that will enable him to ride more comfortably and be able to live his passion to an even greater extent.
