They set off from southern Italy and – crossing several regions, provinces and districts on their beloved horses, the old postal riders covered kilometres of beaten tracks before finally reaching Verona in the north. And it was precisely that journey on horseback over those ancient routes that inspired “THE OLD Post Routes – The Pink Coach”.
The project, promoted by the Umbria Teams Group, focuses on the experience of slow and peaceful equestrian tourism and is mainly intended for lovers of horses, nature, rural areas and small communities. Yet for this second edition, the project also has a social aspect, in focusing on the prevention and treatment of breast cancer. Horses are splendid animals that can also be useful in counteracting depression and insecurity among women who suffered from breast cancer.
Six days of travel, five stop-offs and 70 km a day from Terni to Verona during which women will drive coaches and horses through to the appointment with Fieracavalli 2019.
