The most eagerly-awaited evening event of the Show will once again this year take you into a world where people and horses give life to an exciting performance packed with spectacle and music. Yet Fieracavalli Nights offers much more than just the “Dreams” Gold Gala to astonish and charm visitors. This year, international artists and guests will be joined by two more not to be missed events.
When purchasing tickets for the Gala, you will be able to attend the prize-giving ceremony on the evening of Thursday 7 November for world trotting champion Zacon Gio. The story of Zacon Gio reads almost like a novel. The 4-year-old trotter boasts a champion bloodline: Zacon Gio is the son of Ruty Grif, in turn the son of Varenne, the Italian horse considered to be one of the greatest trotters of all time. Despite his famous lineage, the prestigious Bivans stable where he was raised could not find a buyer; all the leading stables snubbed him, so much so that Giuseppe Franco, a passionate owner from Naples whose family has long divided its efforts between the catering business and their great passion for horse racing, paid no more than one thousand euros to bring Zacon Gio into his stable. An investment that turned out to be extremely shrewd. Zacon Gio is today considered the phenomenon of Italian trotting after breaking the world record in his category and winning the International Trot in New York. An epic undertaking: a race worth one million dollars won by a horse that cost just 1000 euros.
You will be able to see Zacon Gio on Thursday 7 November at the Fieracavalli Gold Gala!
Equally, when purchasing tickets for the Gala on the evening of Friday 8 November, you will also be able to attend the Opening Ceremony for the Longines FEI World Jumping CUPTM in the presence of the top international show jumping champions. A special evening with an exclusive atmosphere thanks to the involvement of the State Police Fanfare, the coaches and horses of the Italian Teams Group and many special guests: Steve Guerdat, Jessica Springsteen, Giulia Martinengo, Daniela Deusseur, Martin Fuchs, Lorenzo De Luca and many others.
