Riding in the Blue: the benefits of horse therapy in children with ASD

21 December 2019

Occasions for comparison and consideration of diversity

Thanks to the memorandum of understanding between Veronafiere, the Integrated University Hospital of Verona and the “Scaliger” Local Health Unit n. 9, the Riding in the Blueproject was launched with the aim of promoting and enhancing the benefits of horse therapy.

Coordinated by non-profit organisation ANTS Onlus for Autism, the initiative – with a special focus on autism spectrum disorders– seeks to provide opportunities for comparison and consideration about diversity and the possibility of being free to express personal and distinctive characteristics without judgement.

In addition to an interactive area in Hall 1 dedicated to children and young people active for the entire duration of the fair, entertainment-creative-expressive activities will also be organised for elementary school children, including The Freedom of Diversity workshop. This is a space for experiencing the beauty of diversity through initiatives suitable for everyone, such as the history of Temperino the Pony and the creative workshop for decorating cloth bags with felt-tip pens, pencils and … all the colours of the world!
