Fieracavalli 2022 opens its doors on Thursday 3 November with the Riding the Blue Charity Dinner & Gala

A very special appointment on the opening day of Fieracavalli this year. Thursday 3 November: the inaugural day of the 124th Fiercavalli sees the equestrian event stage a great charity event for the first time ever.

The Horse Show will kick off with the RIDING THE BLUE CHARITY DINNER & GALA open to exhibitors, celebrities and special guests in support of the “Riding the Blue – Horses as Friends” crowdfunding campaign launched on 2 April for the World Autism Awareness Day.

The charity dinner will take place in the prestigious Pala Volkswagen – the hall hosting the Italian leg of the Longines FEI Show Jumping World CupTM – to mark the end of fund-raising efforts for an experimental project dedicated to horse therapy in the treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in children, coordinated by Professor Leonardo Zoccante. The project aims to achieve recognition of horse therapy by the National Health Service

As the main promoter of the initiative, Fieracavalli once again confirms its massive commitment to the cause by involving the entire community and equestrian society in an appeal for solidarity.

The title of the first Golden Donor of the evening went to the Selleria Equipe brand.

“We are honoured to take part in the Charity Dinner & Gala as Golden Donor and thereby contribute to such an important cause. Selleria Equipe has always supported the values linked with equitation as a sport and a resource providing precious benefits, thanks to the special relationship that develops between horses and riders,” said Tania Rigon, one of the founding partners of Selleria Equipe.

Another Golden Donor is Tombini, a company producing Made in Italy excellence, joining Selleria Equipe to stand out thanks to a concrete gesture on behalf of this worthy cause.

Many other companies have responded to the solidarity appeal launched by Fieracavalli, including Scuderia 1918 and Kep Italia. The latter has decided on this occasion to make 7 prestigious limited edition customized “Riding the Blue Caps” available to the first seven donors.

“We are delighted to make our own contribution to the fund-raising efforts associated with this splendid project, whereby we can renew our support for the families of children with autism spectrum disorders. The absolute awareness of the benefits of horse therapy has always encouraged us be in the forefront in contexts that could help bring children with disabilities closer to horse riding and find in horses extraordinary companions to share a path to self-discovery. And it is precisely the creativity of these children that we highlight in a selection of their drawings that have given life to the ‘Riding the Blue Cap’ limited edition – 7 helmets reproducing these drawing with airbrush techniques, turning them into authentic works of art,” said Lelia Polini, CEO of KEP Italia.

The campaign, which aims to collect 30,000 euros to finance individual sessions of Animal Assisted Intervention (AAI)for children, involves several realities in the local area, including Fieracavalli – Veronafiere, the EY Foundation, FISE, AOVR Hospital and ANGSA (National Association of Parents with Autistic Children) as the recipient of the fund-raising project.

In particular, EY Foundation promoted the fundraising, still open, on Rete del Dono and EY, Digital Innovation Partner of Fieracavalli, created, for donations over €300, the NFT – Non Fungible Tokens – “Riding the Blue Cap”: a digital asset representing an object in the real world, in this case screen-printed KEP helmets. Each token, unique and non-replicable, was sent to the most virtuous donors.

Fieracavalli, with the Charity Dinner & Gala, seeks to reward and celebrate the generosity and commitment of all donors, large and small alike, who have stepped up into the front line to help this cause.
