A passion passed down from father to son: Luigi Runza, an equestrian artist, has shared his love for horseback performances with his son Giorgio, who, at just six years old, performed for the first time alongside his father at Fieracavalli. Since that moment, he has never stopped, and the duo never misses the Verona appointment.
The bond between father and son, and especially their love for Iberian disciplines, was immediately felt by the audience and by Antonio Giarola, the artistic director of the Gala d’Oro event, who chose to have the duo by his side.
“This year I was chosen as one of the performers for the equestrian show ‘Talenti d’Oro,'” Giorgio proudly comments. “I can’t wait to bring my act to the Pala Jumping arena, and I’m sure it will be a unique emotion. Here at Fieracavalli, we feel like one big family.”
Before revealing what his evening performance will entail, you can admire Giorgio’s work up close in dressage.
“Before the grand finale tonight, I will be in Area A for a dressage performance where I will stage the tragic love story of Romeo and Juliet, accompanied by dancers in historical costumes who will dance and swirl along with me and my Friesian horse. It will be an intense moment, full of passion, where we will try to convey the drama of these famous lovers through the graceful movements of the horse and the figures: everything is designed to touch the audience, and I truly hope they will feel part of this timeless story.”.
