Veronafiere writes a new chapter in the sporting history of Fieracavalli with the presentation of the Jumping Verona Racing Team. Alberto Zorzi, Giacomo Casadei, Guido Franchi, Roberto Previtali, and Tommaso Gerardi: these are the five champions of Fieracavalli’s dream show jumping team, ready to take on the challenges of competition fields across Europe.
This marks the first team of Italian riders to “wear the colors” of the leading event for the equestrian sector.
With the Jumping Verona Racing Team, Fieracavalli strengthens the power of its brand, confirming its position as a showcase of excellence for the promotion of the sport and emerging young talents. This goal has been pursued for 23 years through the event’s hosting of the elite of show jumping, including the only Italian leg of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Grand Prix, and competitions organized by FISE, the Italian Equestrian Sports Federation.
Fieracavalli represents the Italian equestrian tradition: a fair that, according to research commissioned by Nomisma, is recognized by over half of the Italian population, with 2.5 million people having attended the Veronafiere event at least once in their lives. These numbers increase when looking at the cluster of practitioners: 33% have participated, and 81% are familiar with the event.
The five riders selected by Fieracavalli will have the opportunity to access a comprehensive training program to further refine their sports skills.
But Fieracavalli’s commitment doesn’t stop there: always attentive to the development of new generations of Italian riders, the event will make available the experience and professionalism of its athletes for training camps aimed at emerging riders and equestrians. This provides the chance to learn techniques and secrets from the greats of the sport, with the ambition of one day reaching equally prestigious goals.
Accompanying Fieracavalli in this adventure will also be Miki Biasion, an icon of global rally racing, who brings together the adrenaline and speed of motorsport competitions with those of show jumping.
