Starting with the winner of the last edition in 2022, the extraordinary duo of Swedish rider
Henrik von Eckermann and his fantastic horse King Edward, who then triumphed in the Omaha final.
Von Eckermann’s victory was Sweden’s first since the World Cup was initially held in Verona in 2001.
German and Dutch riders have won the event five times each over the years.
Germany and the Netherlands are also in the lead as regards victories, followed by France and Great Britain with two wins each. Finally, Belgium, Brazil, Egypt, Ireland and Spain all have one victory each.
The winner in 2021 was Simon Delestre who repeated his earlier success in 2015. Delestre, and Dutchman Albert Zoer (2005 and 2007) are the only riders who have won in Verona twice – and what’s more both riding the same horse: respectively Hermes Ryan and Okidoki.
