“Anniversary” makes its debut at Fieracavalli 120

Tomorrow (Saturday 27) is the last Gold Gala evening in the programme

Enchantment, amazement and delight are just some of the exciting features of the Gold Gala: the show of equestrian art that since the early 1980s has won the hearts of audiences thanks to the poetry and talent of the finest protagonists on theinternational artistic scene.

And this year’s edition is certainly one of the finest. This will be readily confirmed by the spectators who witnessed the debut of Anniversary: a tribute to the 120 years of Fieracavalli in keeping with the excellence of the past while also presenting new international and Italian artists who – for the first time – enter the great Ring of Honour in Verona.

The prelude, with the extraordinary participation of the Horseback Fanfare of the State Police, kicked off a magical show including the saddle-back acrobatic performances of Team SIB, the Murgese horse carousel presented by Francesco Calisi and his Nero Luminoso team, Roman Riding by Rorò Castellana – the youngest Italian “desultor” -, the Mujeres a La Grupa flamenco carousel by David Chaves and the brand new, highly evocative set by the Rudj Bellini Company.

The second part of the show included carousels by Il Salice Riding Club – dedicated to the Criollo horses – and the Maremma Cowboys, not to forget the great Italian tradition of work mounts. Lastly, the equestrian theatre with a firework display presented by Cavallo & Company, the Cossack saddle-back acrobatictroupe of Clément Ferron by Aragonas di Bartolo Messina and Vincent Liberator – one of today’s finest exponents of the “free rein” equestrian discipline – who presented his eight Iberian horses in a set of utter delight and poetry.

The other two evening events in Hall 8 today and tomorrow will immerse audiences in the magical atmosphere of the Anniversary Gold Gala.
