The Doma Vaquera’s main purpose is putting the horse in a state of balance, obedience and agility so as to be ready in the most unexpected conditions of the work “on the field” in the countryside, in which there are always unexpected surprises such as the inclement weather, the roughness of the terrain , wild animals and wild cattle.
The Jinete, or knight, who practices this type of Doma must have great intuition and sensitivity and the two must work in perfect harmony. A great tradition that today has also become an Equestrian Discipline officially recognized in Italy by Fitetrec-Ante.
