All lovers of American culture and Western equitation disciplines should not miss the rich calendar of events staged in Hall 11 during Fieracavalli.
This show hall will host Speed Events 9-12 November: the truly exciting Stars and Stripes competitions involving more than 300 competitors from all over Europe seeking to achieve the best result and take home a victory.
Thanks to the Italian National Barrel Horse Association (NBHA), Fieracavalli will host the European Open, Youth and Junior, Juvenile, Future and Champion of Champions Barrel Racing championships – the discipline that originated in Texas in the late 1940s which requires the competing horses and riders to complete a pre-defined course around three barrels as quickly as possible.
Nor should we overlook Pole Bending which, in its turn, will welcome the European Open, Youth and Junior, Future and Champion of Champions championships. This speciality, like Barrel Racing, also involves a pre-defined course to cover in a handful of seconds. However, it requires greater technical skill to pass between the six posts positioned along the route without knocking them down while continually changing galloping speed.
